    Enlightening Tomorrow, Together

Did you know that in Canada, it is estimated that about 1 in 10 people have a hearing loss? Groupe Média TFO is committed to creating accessible resources by producing a collection of books in Quebec Sign Language (LSQ). This collection will help children who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing learn to read via our IDÉLLO platform and will encourage all young people to learn LSQ to break down communication barriers with their classmates!

First project co-created with our audiences

Supported by TFO’s first-ever crowdfunding campaign, this project is for parents, teachers, educators and the entire French-speaking community around the country and is designed to promote inclusion and diversity in learning.

    Building together

We want to do our part to support cognitive and personal development in our students and young people who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing. These books will provide new free educational resources in LSQ to support youth development. Donate today to create a larger collection of digital books and to help build a more inclusive future together.

Supporting inclusive learning so our students avoid isolation
During the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning and mask wearing has made communication even more difficult for students who are deaf, deafened or heard of hearing. With this project, TFO wants to help create a more inclusive learning community and provide high-quality accessible resources.

    Giving back to our communities
Our collection of books in LSQ will also promote writers, illustrators and members of the French-speaking deaf and hard-of-hearing community in Ontario and the rest of Canada.

Through your contribution, students in Ontario and throughout Canada who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing will soon have free access to new learning content made specially for them!
